Improved Low-Light Recording

Wide Dynamic Range balances bright highlights and dark areas, while 3D Digital Noise Reduction reduces visual noise in low-light footage. These technologies help produce clearer recordings during daytime, cloudy weather and night driving.

Night-time clarity still depends on street lighting, vehicle speed, windscreen condition and surrounding conditions.

Wi-Fi Connection With KAWA AUTO App

Connect the dash cam directly to the KAWA AUTO application using its built-in Wi-Fi. The local Wi-Fi connection lets you view live footage, play saved recordings and download compatible videos to an iOS or Android phone without using mobile data.

Optional Hands-Free Voice Control

Selected MINI 3 versions support voice commands for taking photographs, protecting recordings, controlling Wi-Fi and switching audio or hotspot functions.

Voice control is available only on the designated voice-control version and supports English, French, Japanese and Russian. The supplier states that voice commands work after exiting the mobile app.

Automatic Emergency Recording

The integrated G-sensor detects sudden movement or impact and automatically protects the related recording in a separate emergency folder. Protected emergency footage is not overwritten by standard loop recordings under normal operation.

Continuous Loop Recording

Recording begins automatically after the camera receives power. When the memory card becomes full, loop recording replaces the oldest standard footage with new video.

Recording segments can be set to approximately one, two or three minutes.

Supercapacitor For Temperature Resistance

Instead of a lithium-ion battery, the MINI 3 uses a supercapacitor designed to tolerate changing vehicle temperatures and provide longer service life. The dash cam has no rechargeable battery and must remain connected to vehicle power during normal recording.

Optional 24-Hour Parking Monitoring

Parking surveillance requires a separately purchased compatible Type-C hardwire kit. When correctly installed, the G-sensor can detect a parking impact and activate an emergency recording.

Important Compatibility Information

No Built-In Screen

The MINI 3 does not include a display. Live viewing, playback, downloads and selected settings are accessed through the KAWA AUTO mobile application.

General Installation Guide

1. Clean and dry the windscreen behind the rearview mirror.
2. Apply the supplied anti-static film to the selected position.
3. Secure the MINI 3 mount to the film.
4. Angle the camera toward the centre of the road.
5. Route the 3.5m power cable around the windscreen trim.
6. Connect the cable to the supplied car charger.
7. Insert and format a compatible microSD card.
8. Download the KAWA AUTO application.
9. Connect your phone to the dash cam’s Wi-Fi network.
10. Check the live preview and adjust the camera angle.
11. Confirm that automatic recording begins when the vehicle supplies power.

Important Safety Information

Install the dash cam where it cannot obstruct the driver’s view, mirrors, sensors or airbags. Do not adjust the camera or mobile application while driving.

Parking monitoring requires professional or careful installation of a compatible hardwire kit. Incorrect wiring may damage the vehicle’s electrical system or drain its battery.

H.265 video may not play correctly in older media players. The supplier recommends a compatible program such as VLC Media Player or PotPlayer.
